No one has ever made a Philadelphia-centric hockey podcast before, and no one ever will again. We bring you FRBS: A Hockey Conversation, featuring hard-hitting rants and rambles about the greatest sport Mike York ever played. Walk down memory lane, look to the bright future, wallow at the state of your team and life, do whatever you need, but do it while listening to this shit.
This isn’t some four-hour-long bitchfest featuring two angry, bored white guys. This is a 25 minute sermon featuring two angry, bored white guys. Chad Clapper and Freddie Fastpucks speak to the soul of every disaffected orange-wearer, advanced stats nerd, and compulsive sports better who has ever cried into a Lager while watching grainy Legion of Doom highlights on YouTube.
Meet the duo that’s about to speedtest your Wi-Fi:
Chad Clapper first laced ’em up at the age of three. Throughout his playing career he displayed the edge work of Lipinski and the stick work of McSorley. He thinks that playing in Newark isn’t nearly a strict enough punishment for how the Devils defiled hockey. His competitive playing career came to an end when his university couldn’t sustain his National-level twig budget.
Freddie Fastpucks is an on-ice felon with a golden voice and a supreme understanding of puck dynamics: Everything that rises must go top cheese. His quick wit and disorganized thoughts are the result of a blackout boarding in his first game of contact at age 13, but he put himself in that position and it was his own damn fault.
